the Pumper was sent to Pierce Manufacturing in Appleton, Wis. to be
refurbished into a Pierce Arrow Pumper.

Pumper was in first due service until 2001 when it was reassigned to the Ft.
Myers Fire Academy. The Pumper spent its remaining service years as the
primary Academy Pumper, and was officially retired by the Ft. Myers Fire
Department in October 2006.
In October 2006 Pumper was purchased at city auction by a local auto & truck
dealer. In November 2006 Pumper was sold to a private owner in Salt Lake
City, who intended to cut it up and turn it into a tow truck. In January
2007 I rescued the Pumper from the cutting saw and relocated it to the El
Paso area and began minor refurbishing of the Pumper. The Pumper is used
primarily for fire prevention training classes and demonstrations with
various local fire departments, as well as for local parades.
